Hofgut Falkenstein Krettnacher Euchariusberg Riesling Kabinett Alte Reben 2024 CRV orchard fruit and a salineHofgut Falkenstein is the Webers' beloved Saar estate, where Erich and son Johannes farm old Riesling vines close to organic, ferment with ambient yeast in traditional Fuder casks, and bottle straight off the lees with no chaptalization or de acidification. This Kabinett Alte Reben ("Gisela") comes from ungrafted 80 year old vines in the long celebrated Gross Schock portion of the Euchariusberg, classified in the top tier on old taxation maps.
