Military in the field since the Civil War is the two man pup tent. Soldiers of that time were commonly referred to as "dogs". They wore "dog tags", slept in tents called "dog houses" and that term evolved to "pup tent". Water repellant. Two shelter halves snapped together create a pup tent that is approximately 9' long x 6' wide x 42" high. Each pup tent consists of the
